It’s been a while, hasn’t it? Well, time for the return of Random Queries, and here are today’s two lucky search strings!
“itunes toothbrush”
Average Search Position in Google in last week: 4th
Er… an iTunes toothbrush? Why?
“itunes software license troubleshoot”
Average Search Position in Google in last week: 24th
Troubleshoot a license? You read them? Really?
Seen as I haven’t given you a random query from the world of the Interweb that just happens to hit my site lately, I’m gonna give you two!
“land of laver”
Average Search Position in Google in last week: 1st
Er, well, ask Nick… I haven’t got a clue!
And the other for today,
“cant sleep when your touching me”
Average Search Position in Google in last week: 4th
Erm, not really got anything to say to that! Little scary though…
So, that’s your lot for now, who knows what the world of Google will throw out next time into the world of the Internet! ‘Till next time!
I figured that I would do a special edition of Random Queries as I have had quite a few search strings searching for names that hit my site…. but are actually amalgamations of names that have appeared on this site.
If you didn’t get that, read on; and maybe you will…
So, to search no 1…
“ben laver”
Average Search Position in Google in last week: 8th
This is probably an amalgamation of “Ben Dawson” – UI consult for the iDeskbook project, and “Nick Laver”, whom has had Beta 2 of iDeskbook named after him. He is a coursemate at Uni.
The next name is…
“daniel dawson blog”
Average Search Position in Google last week: 22nd
A mix between me and Ben…
And finally,
“will padget”
Average Search Position in Google last week: 3rd
Well, no Will has been mentioned on my blog (just used it as in “I will”), but “Padget” on this site referrers to “Laura Padget”, who will have the final release named after her, and is another coursemate.
You may now be wondering why this edition of Random Queries has a bit of colour to it. Well, I took a leaf out of Ben’s book, and thought that it was much more readable like this. So, there you go!
And it’s that time again, another strange search string for the world of the Internet that happens to end up with a hit on my site. Today’s query is…
"how be nice to someone"
It’s a fine art… and I haven’t quite mastered it yet…
Strange one this time…
"hull university what does it turn you into"
Graduate, perhaps? Maybe a lazy slob, if you are that way inclined. Maybe even an alcoholic if you are lucky…
"help me get a mobile facebook account as i dont have a computer to register so please register me"
And why search for this? That won’t answer your question/help you in the slightest! If you need to be registered… ask on a forum! Or even better, use someone else’s computer!
And, no, I’m not going to help you (whoever you are)!
"the chain letter novel"
Chain letters are bad enough. A chain letter novel???
Someone has way too much time on their hands if this exists…
"owning up to lying on your cv"
You’ve got to be kidding me. It links here – but nothing to do with that, I assure you…
(If you are wondering what the "Random Queries" series is all about, click on the "Random Queries" category in the blog and read the first one…)
Time for another random search string!
“reality of rejection”
Erm… right. Reality – it hurts, a lot, sometimes so much that your confidence can be shaken so much, trust me, personal experience tells me that! I think I’m gonna become a priest…
Not sure why you would be searching for it though, experiencing it yourself is quite enough…
